Some of those items may be available if you post this to websites that cater to that engine. Anything Ministock would work. Also vintage racing sites, and SCCA website.

I know those parts are out them. I built up both engines (2.0L & 2.3L) for road racing. I even had a dual Weber carb & intake set up for the 2.3L. It was acquired as part of a purchase of a car. It was brand new but I gave it to a friend who planned on using it on his Mustang race car. He sold it years ago.

Ebay will be your friend for individual pieces. Engines and engine parts will either have to be new or used from a circle track parts site (racing junk, etc.)

A few things on Ebay now. Distributor and Ignition box

Offenhauser Intake

Stock 4bbl intake

.30 over racing pistons and rods

Would this qualify? Boss Turbo from Car Corp http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/pts/5122274622.html

That is a "suck through" turbo set up. It was popular back in the 70's & 80's before fuel injection came along. Those set ups did make power for their time but we're talking boosting a 90 HP engine up to 150-160 HP. Using a carb made fuel enrichment a problem and don't even think about using an inner cooler with it. The turbo and exhaust manifold is usable but you would best to go mega squirt or some other fuel/ignition system.

It would be fun to play with but I don't think the vintage racing "gods" have that much of a sense of humor ,it reminds me of a set up i had years ago for an A1 vw gti which allowed me to embarrass some much faster cars ,very simple set up ,no intercooling ,no electronics no super duper efi ,vacum retard pop off valve at 7 -9 lbs of boost ,lots of torque steer and amazingly fun ,I miss those days ,it was all so simple ,now you have to have an MIT degree to make a car go fast ,it sucks

Gave away the 2.3 to a scapper when it was sitting next to my house for too long. I may still have the stock exhaust manifold sitting around. I think that's all. No storage space for big E36 M3.

I have a twin Weber DCOE manifold down cellar, could snap some pics and get the manufacturer's name for you if interested.

Lemme know, OK?

I will have some "hotrod" 2 liter parts available in about 2 weeks... they come from a certain race shop... will come with cam, head work and valve train mods... more to come....

In reply to akylekoz:

How is that engine working out in Lemons? A buddy builds them for circle track where they are VERY strong and can wind over 8K. I'm interested in how they do in an endurance situation. Anything you have to pay particular attention to over an enduro?

We have run two races, 40hrs on an unknown engine with absolutely no problems...except lack of speed. We were the jerks that added gas and checked tire pressures, raced for 24hrs straight, drove it on the trailer and went home. Very reliable and only used 3 gal/hr. Not bad for six inexperienced drivers beating the snot out of it that long. We are planning some preventative maint. before next season. And more power. Finished 40th overall out of 98 teams, second in our class.

1989 fox notch back, bone stock motor. Please find me some parts that are cheap and better than stock. Our first step is to shave the head and install a ranger cam and followers.

My buddies brother is the local 2.3 motor expert. He is getting closet to 300 hp out of a 2.3L and built one bad ass 2.5L stroker version for his brother. Head work has a ton to do with it and they custom build risers onto their manifolds to mount the Holley 500 another 4-5 inches higher. The flow is so good they can actually create ice on the intake.
