Yet again, I'm looking for a car to build. This time, I need something 4cyl, quick, 5-speed, FWD. Oh, and under $700. If you know of anything around Atlanta or up to four hours away, let me know. It's for something similar to the 24-hrs of Lemons, and may wind up there as well. Or, a former LeMons car could work too! Thanks.

Maybe not quick, but I've got a rabbit L, 1984, 1.7 gas with 4 speed, new battery, voltage regulator, has a poly bushing for the tranny mount, some newer rear shocks to go on (just haven't had time to do that), new steering bearing & ignition switch. I'm in Chatsworth, GA, ~1 1/4 - 1 1/2 north of Atlanta, between Dalton & Ellijay.

What race would this car be for?

It's actually for a series that I am organizing. It will be a touring series among (hopefully) three round tracks in the North Georgia area, ranging from a 1/2 mile banked oval to an undetermined dirt track. The upcomming race is at Lanier Speedway in Braselton GA. Entry fees are $50 typically, and all fees go towards the payout. Legal cars are anything FWD, 4-cyl, WITHOUT any type of VTEC system. Oh, and the winning car can be "claimed" (bought) by ANYONE after the race for $1200. Refusal to sell results in the driver being banned from ever running in the GEERS series again, for life. If anyone is intersted, I can send a copy of the rules.

Man, if you allowed AWD cars, I know how I would get rid of a couple cars...

When are you guys running at Lanier? I live pretty close to it.

First event is November 29th. What do you have? Remove the rear driveshaft, and you have FWD!!
