Set of 4 13 x 7 steel wheels made by R&R wheels. 4 x 100 and 3 1/2" backspacing. Approx 15 years old. Used on a VW Cabriolet auto-x car with a ?mm spacer. I have come to the realization that by the time I have the combination of time and money needed to put these to good use we will all be commuting by nuclear powered hoverboards. That said, I am hoping that someone out in grm land can do something with them. Free pickup in Augusta, GA. I also travel regularly on I-20 between Augusta and Florence, SC and I-95 between Florence and NC exit 138 and am willing to meet at an exit off either interstate provided that you can work with my schedule.

If you find yourself going to Atlanta, I've got a friend you could drop them off with and I could get some $ your direction electronically or via snail mail. Perfect fit for an Opel.

FWIW, I sold a pair of widened steelies on Bimmerforums that were fairly close to those specs. Sold in a day for $400. Old school guys go nuts for wide steelies.

Sorry oldopelguy, but I don't travel that way very often.

Just to be clear, these are not widened stock wheels but instead are aftermarket wheels designed for racing. My understanding is that they do not meet DOT approval.

Just realized that I know someone that travels regularly from Augusta to Atlanta. If you let me know what part of Atlanta, I will see if he is interested.

If you don't mind disclosing, what are your challenge plans?

My friend with shipping connections lives in Snellville, but I think he works closer to downtown.

As to plans, any Opel I bring to a challenge will probably need 5-lug wheels to handle engine v8 hp, but the rest of them could use your wheels for some dedicated autocross rubber.

I will let him know and see what can be done.

Ok, he can deliver to downtown atl for an additional $14, for a total of $50.

What do I have to do to get approved for pm's? This is awkward.

If you think this is awkward, you're going to hate what you have to do in order to be granted PM access!

Seriously, this board doesn't use PMs. Click on the person's name you want to contact (oldopelguy), then click on "contact" and that will take you to a page you can send a message from. That goes to oldopelguy's email address, and he can email you back directly at the email address you used here on the board from that point. I agree, cumbersome, but it's a Management Policy!
