EDIT: SOLD!!
7 years ago, I bought an RD350 as a rolling chassis from someone's backyard.
It looked like this:
After a few years of scouring forums and ebay for parts, I arrived at this point:
This picture is a few years old; I will take more as soon as I'm home during daylight hours.
A quick summary of what's there:
-Most, if not all of the bodywork
-Engine that turns
-Carbs in good shape
-Modified DG expansion chambers (the guy I bought them from added stingers)
-Powder-coated frame
-Bronze swingarm bushings
-Spare bottom end
-A few miscellaneous parts
Aside from the frame, everything was painted with grill paint (parts that get hot) or appliance paint (parts that do not).
The ignition and tank both have keys, but they do not match (ebay parts binning at work).
It does not have a title; I only got a bill of sale from the previous owner. It is located in Orlando, FL, 32809. It was stored in a garage until last November, when I brought it to my current place. It is currently covered, but in a carport.
You can reach me at three five two, 226, ten seventy-four, or mitchellclifton at gmail.
These are harder and harder to find. Great bike there.
If it aint smokin' its broken.
I'm trying to convince my Florida connection that it's a good idea to buy this and sell it to me when he moves back up here for a profit=]
I still miss mine but ain't draggin' nothin' else home now.
looks like a good project, somebody gonna dig that
I really don't need this..

Alright, I took some more photos, so you know what it looks like right now. Pardon the backdrop; a storm was brewing and was blowing my recyclables all over the place in any other place.
Found the workshop manual! That will be yours, too, should you buy the motorcycle.
Box of parts: Headlight, side cover, misc. hardware, some wiring stuff
Spare bottom end. Good to know how all the bits work together before tearing into the main engine.
Oil injection tank, should you prefer not to pre-mix, chain guard cover
Spare tank. Like the main tank on the bike itself, it will need its internal rust rectified. There are a few solutions: Sealers, muriatic acid, or dump in a bucket of nuts and bolts (But count them! Otherwise, you may not get them all).
I think that is everything.
Damn I do want this. My bud in fl said if he had the money hed be all over it but he sure as hell would keep it for himself lol. Awesome bike.
If anyone is wondering where the heck you find parts for one of these, http://www.hvccycle.net/ has a ton of NOS and reproduction parts that your dealer probably can't get. When I was working on this bike, usa2strokers.com was a good forum resource for this and many other 2-stroke bikes. Be forewarned, there's a lot of NSFW stuff going on there.
So what would it take to get running?
If you delivered it to sunny sc I'll be all over it today. Hope you got a snow plow !
