1978 Lotus Eclat Sprint - $350 (Rehoboth, MA)

Parts car, Rolling chassis with body and all glass. has dashboard, but no other interior parts, The engine and 4 speed are included but are out of the car. Among the parts I know are missing are the intake manifold, carbs, cam covers. seats, interior panels, trim. Car has been sitting for many years. poor condition. call marc at 508-336-0208 or email. I live close by if anyone wants me to look at it for them.
That's exactly what I need... another Lotus drug out of a field. 
There are easily $1000 worth of parts on that car, if anyone feels ambitious. I'd help.

True... probably too far gone to restore, but I'd imagine the glass alone is worth a fair amount to someone in need.
This must be a South Coast Massachusetts trend or something. I (kinda) know where there is a late 80's-early 90's Lotus Esprit sitting in the weeds around here too! I did a double take and had to turn around to confirm what I saw. 
I know that there was a guy from Rehoboth who was pretty active on the Elan forum (multiple Elans). It's probably the same guy.

An Esprit in the weeds!! Ohh man. That would be too sad. I would love a project Esprit but it would have to be pretty dang cheap.

That's what I used to think but then Hess kind of talked me out of it. I think it was the propitiatory inboard brakes or something.

The only thing more expensive than a nearly free Lotus is a nearly free Lotus that has been sitting in the weeds... in the North...for many years...which the owner admits is in poor condition.
As the owner of 2 free Lotusii, I know this first hand!
