car is a 1980 t top automatic z28 and located in Valley City OHIO 44280

rust: pass quarter in front of wheel under the flare, driver quarter low behind wheel. includes new panels for both areas as well as driver front lower quarter because i bought a pair. tail panel under bumper is holey. rear rails nice and solid, needs minimal rust repair for up here in cleveland which is why i went for it.

the toe panel was fixed rather nicely on passenger side. drivers floor they just covered the whole side with sheetmetal for some lazy reason. from below there are holes in the rear footwell but the rest looks fine. i planned to grind their welds, remove the sheetmetal hack, and just fix what needed it.

engine is locked up, PO said it knocked then froze. i swiped the dist for my truck. car has a hurst console shifter. front spoiler ends brand new repros in urethane, no center. wrong (78-79) upper grill but the 80 lower is there. interior smells bad, mismatched seats, i'd throw it away and start over. it is a power window/power lock car. the car has a TH350 transmission that is claimed to have a shift kit. i cannot back up their claim though. it also has solid headers on it that look relatively not that old. they are not all crusty.

has posi rear, PO claimed 4.10 but then said it did not scream on the highway so i bet its a factory 3.42. it has a hooker dual exhaust in good condition, radiator looks great, inner fenders are nice, factory air induction hood with correct air cleaner. glass good. i purchased a pair of solid doors for it and have new door top rail seals for them. has t top bags included in good shape and the original rope steering wheel that i cleaned up and is very nice. tilt column nice and tight too. no keys so i pulled the column apart far enough to remove the ignition switch, ready to put a new one in.

wheels and tires are just rollers - however the backs have 15" olds rally wheels so you might be able to get a few bux back selling those.

total resto or racecar project with clear ohio title signed/notarized.

i can take better pictures if you want. or just come look at it. i will include new front brake rotors and wheel bearings(surface rust, rotors need sanded), they were on my other car a long time ago and i kept them.

price is $975

plenty of room to throw in a nice small block and suspension bits to get it challenge ready.

if you plan to make it a challenge car i will throw in some goodies that will help you get the car running with under $100 additional investment.

My wife had a 1979 305 Berlinetta Camaro that sucked.

My friend owned a 1980 (or was it a 1981?) Camaro Z28 that was marroon with stripes. I thought his car was so sweet.

ive decided to drop my price to 750 FIRM

i can throw in a 350 from an early 90's pickup with a holley intake and a pair of larger than stock by quite a bit swaybars for $100 to make $850 FIRM for the car with that stuff.

that plus an HEI will get you running and you still have $1160 for a pair of turbos or some other stuff.

i have stainless small block twin turbo headers, racing seats, and some other stuff that can be had for extra dollars, but cheaply.

nah but i am elbow deep in the 40(whose budget is still well under $2010), the LSx astro, and the 42 pickup is back on my plate now and going on the K5 chassis i just bought. plow truck takes precedent over camaro.

plus i realized, much like with the turbo grand prix, why am i dealing with trying to make something into what i already have in the corvette. this one was an impulse buy. much like all my vehicle purchases that are not work trucks. you know damn well i have automotive ADD.

what if i make it 650 this week only?

thats what i need to buy a new pair of rear dually fenders for my truck so if i can get that i'd feel better about myself.

My plate is full this weekend looking at some other stuff I shouldn't buy, but since my plan to my Volvo a track rat has fallen through, this might do it. If you have any more pics please send them my way - george406 at hotmail.com. Any interest in keeping the transmission since I'd swap a stick in? I'd take the engine, maybe the racing seats if they are real men's size.

while i would not mind keeping the transmission and shifter - i really do not need it nor do i have the desire to spin a wrench on the car beyond what i have done already.
