Selling my Supra! (trying to flip my way up to a Legacy SS.) 124k miles. I picked this up from a kid up north who didn't know the difference between a bad fuel pump and a distributor being 180* out. Black ext/black & grey int, 5-speed w/LSD rear. Has a MK3 Supra wheel swapped into it.
GOOD: Body is pretty darn solid for a Wisconsin car, MSD Blaster coil (6AL box was traded for a complete set of tune-up parts, sorry), interior is in incredible shape for an '82, runs and drives real strong (timing belt looks recent, no big leaks or consumption problems). Crush-bent performance exhaust w/fart can actually sounds pretty decent.
BAD: Some minor lifter tick (Marvel Mystery Oil usually does the trick on a 5M), interior blower motor has an odd problem (spins real slow when turned on, blows circuit breaker after about 30 sec - bad ground suspected), PO cut the shifter rod down real sloppily and it's pretty much worse to shift now, tires are improperly sized and kind of hurt the car's acceleration (OK tread through). PO cut up door panels for 6" speaker box install (looks OK but isn't original).
Asking $1500 locally, $1250 for craigslist cheapasses, make me an offer! I always accept trade offers from you guys. More pics in the craigslist ad below.

Oh my. Your timing is terrible.
Not interested in a 62 Tempest LeMans are you?
All I've got is a wagon to trade... ;). How much cash would you need on top of that?
Clem

Yeah, definitely. I was originally planning to use this as a BABE Rally car.
(keep in mind I say this having driven an 52HP '84 Renault Encore 3,000+ miles with no left rear shock absorber, a dangerously rusty unibody, and sticky brake calipers)
wow, I will make a call. If I can be serious about a deal after I speak with my uncle, I'll post my email...

Trade for a Newport?
As ridiculously cool as that car is, practicality is a little bit of a problem.

Practicality? There's nothing and nobody you couldn't move in that car! :)
Those paisley seats are calling to you. Heed the call! Heed the call!

3 problems:
1: I have to park the Supra at a slight angle already to get it in my garage. I don't think that thing would even fit width-wise!
2: Around here, it would get stolen SO FAST I'd never even get to enjoy it.
3: If it was summer I'd say yes
I'd need to clean it up a bit, but would you be interested in my Scirocco?
That pic is from the last time I cleaned it, it has been ridden hard and put away wet , but it performed flawlessly on the BABE Rally.
At the very least, you could pawn it off on Hansen, he really liked it when he saw it a couple of years ago in SI.

Yeah, man, I remember that car. More info on it? It's an 8v, right? And where are you located, anyways? I'd love to throw it at Hansen but he and his brother just bought matching TDI Beetles (???)
Yeah, it's an 8v, a tired one at that.
Here's the fs ad, haven't done much of anything to it since, except throw some new tires, pads/shoes, exhaust and a couple of steel brake lines on it (the steel ones that were on it were leaking).

I cannot be serious at this time.
perhaps if its still around after the new year, I can be serious again
I seriously need to sell this freaking car. Anyone have a cash offer?
why has the cl been deleted?
How tired is the suspension and bushings and stuff?

It all feels okay. It's an '82 with 124k - I'd give it a 6.5/10
So, IF i were to buy this, the bushings and crap wouldn't be a big letdown to an otherwise nice suspension setup that i'd be installing? I just... i hate to admit this, but i REALLY loathe doing bushings, to the point that it's a make or break as to whether or not i even want a car sometimes.
Here is another Michigan example for those who may have wished they acted on Slick's offer.
