This was supposed to be my $2010 car and didn't happen.
The guy I bought the car from about 8 months or so ago bought it about 10 years ago for his son. Painted it, had the head rebuilt etc. Once he finished the car his son told him he'd rather have a truck. So, the car sat in the previous owners garage for 10 years unit his wife told him to get rid of it.
The PO said he rebuild to carb before he put it up for sale. I have no reason to doubt him.
What I think it needs - a battery, valve clearance set, ignition timing set (has clatter under load), probably needs the carb adjusted. Last time I drove it around the block it's acting like it needs a new thermostat. Basically, just needs going through. I don't think it needs any extensive work.
It's got the 1.3L carbed engine with a 5-speed manual transmission. I think it's an HF but will have to verify the VIN. Been a while since I checked.
Since I can't seem to get my butt in gear to work on it I figured I'd put it up to see if anyone's interested in it.
I have $1445 in it and would like to get that out of it. If nobody on here is interested in it I'll pull it into the garage and go through it before listing on CL at a higher price
