NMNA, if I didn't have too many projects now this would be something I'd be quite interested in this.

I feel like we could potential combine these 2 listings into either something horrible or horribly great

So if I bring a main relay, some fuses and something to bypass the main positive battery cable (and the likely blown fusable link), I can drive this home?
Also, if you are in the habit of hooking up jumper cables backwards, buy a 1990 s10. Happened to mine at least twice and it wasn't damaged to my knowledge.

It's an 86. The post title is incorrect.

that is exactly what i was thinking. cross-polarity on the jumper cables popped the main fuse, likely didn't hurt anything else.

For some reason I saw '84

Nope, you saw right- I just screwed up the year somehow. Honestly, if I didn't have the Prius in-work and know SWMBO would be furious I'd consider going up and buying it and seeing if I could get it running to drive it home. Would be pretty much no way to do it without her being party to it since someone would need to drive me up there so I could drive it back...

You were right. Its an '86. The '88 would be the one to buy. Easier on the t-belt change.
Received a "backwards" jumpstart in my '91 Eclipse. Popped the 80 amp main fuse and all the diodes in the radio. Replacing the fuse got me back to Ft. Bragg a day late. 600 miles without a radio got really old though....
This is tempting.
If someone here purchases it and preps it for rallycross contact me and I'll get you enough exposure that you'll actually be able to garner some small sponsorships. IF I had the space and it wasn't a conflict of interest I'd do it myself.

If you decide you may seriously want it, let me know- it turns out a good friend of mine (and GRMer who first introduced me to GRM...) lives nearby and knows one of the owners and might be willing to take a look at it for you.
It is very tempting, but I'm limited by SWMBO's cap on how many cars we can have at any one time until I sell one.
