1986 GMC Suburban 2500 2WD. 350 V8, TH350 auto trans. Power windows/brakes/steering. Does not currently start, has been sitting for 2 years. Not getting fuel to carb. I installed a new fuel pump, but need to make sure the lines are clear. Less than 1,000 miles ago, the engine was replaced with an rebuilt long block and edelbrock intake and carb, the transmission was rebuilt, new tires/brakes/shocks were installed, new master cylinder, flowmaster exhaust and hooker headers. Has tow hitch and brake controller. Asking $900, I spent a lot more on parts and labor.

I also have barn-style rear doors and the mounting hardware for the truck, included in sale.

Car is located in South Brunswick, NJ 08810

How rusty is it underneath?

I was last under it a month or so ago, it's pretty solid. The frame is solid. Some rust inside the driver's side front wheel well. The lift gate is rusted along the bottom, hence the barn style doors. There is surface rust starting along the roof from sitting in the sun. Other than a few other small spots, the body is in good shape too.

I want this! I have to work on the bride, I just got all four cars indoors this weekend so dragging home an orphan is going to be a challenge.

I want to get rid of my 1995 4-Runner because it's so rusty, but I just chucked $1200 at it for a timing belt, water pump and radiator. Selling it would to get past her.

I'll be in touch.......

Cool. I'll take some more pics today. You reminded me that the radiator has been replaced as well as the water pump and oil pump. AC was removed, though.

I also just blew some air through the fuel lines, they're clear. It cranked over, and wanted to start after a shot of starting fluid. Still not getting fuel from the pump to the carb. Going to get another new fuel pump and see what happens...

Latest update...can you tell I don't feel like working today?

The truck starts, new fuel pump did the trick. The carb will def need some adjusting, I realized it's the GM carb on there now, the edlebrock carb is not on it (still comes with). It will idle (a little high) and I suspect the choke needs to be sorted out. It's electric and either not working or not getting juice. Also the motor cuts out when I put it in gear, so there's probably a vacuum issue as well. With the headers and flowmasters, she sounds mean though!
