Well the 280k miles kills it for me which is good because I really do miss my '88 MR2 SC.

+ 1 on missing an MR2 ('87 in my case).

5 gear popout got so bad it's popping out of 4th now? Maybe it's that 280,000+ clutch.

...and I might be going to Columbus tomorrow anyway...

There was one on the Columbus CL for awhile that had a cracked head for $500, looked to be in better shape.

He doesn't mention any 5th gear pop out. My old 85 would pop out of 4th and not 5th. Looks like a cool $500 beater to me.
