as I recall you take that top end (or any yugo top end) and swap in a 1.5L x1/9 bottom end you've got a nice high c/r engine.... find an x1/9 EFI engine and add megasquirt for a more turbo friendly c/r

Yes and yes. The FI model is the one you want for sure. Yugo head on Fiat bottom end = high CR (9.8:1 if memory serves) a few other mods while you are in there and wooohooo.
Plus the FI fiat is a perfect candidate for megasquirt. I'm currently working out the details on mine but if all my notes are correct I could essentially build a P-n-P MS unit that plugs right into the factory harness.
I might have a 1500 bottom end or 2 if someone buys this car and want's to play. You will need to swap oil pump and pan from the Yugo motor as well as a few other bits (the x1/9 engine sits at a different angle so the pan and pump are different)
Lots of other parts sitting around as well if someone takes this on.

A dream we all share. Mine has :knocks on wood table hard enough to nearly split a knuckle: made it about 140 miles since the last time it went on jackstands for a month. Current high score is about 250 miles.
