1999 Chevorlet S10. 2WD. THIS VEHICLE HAS NO ENGINE OR TRANSMISSION. IT WILL NEED TO BE TOWED. I bought it this way as part of a project that someone had abandoned. The brakes work, and the truck rolls easily. It is originally an automatic transmission vehicle. It appears to have some lowered suspension in the back, but it is difficult to tell with no engine in it to load the suspension.
The windshield is cracked. There are some dents in the body. The truck appears to be straight, but I have never driven it so I am not completely sure. The only reason I question is because of the two different colors. All of the body panels line up.
The truck comes with a 1-piece drive shaft and the original two piece driveshaft.
I have a title in hand.
$2014 (see below for new in formation regarding ls engine swap parts)
Oops! locally would be richmond, VA.
That + LSX would be a hoot!
I have one of those on the shelf, but it would disqualify it from $2014 challenge.

Great starting point to build your own version of Larry's car!

It is. A friend of mine built one with a 5.3 and a T56. It is all the awesome.
Buyer backed out. I am going to sweeten the pot by adding 5.3l out of 2000 suburban with claimed 140k miles on it (complete with all accessories), freshly rebuilt 4l60 with 1 year warrenty and 3000rpm stall torque converter, factory wire harness (suburban), factory fuse box (suburban), unlocked ECU, and a 1-piece driveshaft for the challenge friendly price of $2014.
bump - new price and new content. See edited posts above.

Now that's a decent starter kit for challenge money. I think it would still be over budget due to needing headers for the swap.
I do have the factory manifolds (included), but I have not mocked it up to know if it works.

Factory manifolds might work, but if not you have to purchase or build tubular headers to clear the steering shaft...I think they went as far as actually looping around it most of the time.
Pushrod36's a good guy. His project is sitting in my driveway while he finishes his move to Richmond. Picture of the drivetrain:

Yamaha - it doesn't look too complicated to me.

It's good that you're so far away from me.
I've gotten tired of looking at the truck. It is going to the salvage yard next week. I will let the truck alone go for $300 (yard price) if you pick it up this weekend.
will the 5.3L be available for sale separately or is it going to find another home?
5.3 is available seperately from the truck, but I will not seperate it from the other drivetrain bits.
