Hi GRM,

You guys don't know me, but I've been lurking for a while and just haven't felt like I had anything worthwhile to post. But now I have a worthy first post.

I'm selling my 1999 SW2. This is a nice clean car with a clean Alabama title and around 150k miles. I bought it last year to use as a gas saving commuter car, ended up swapping in a used engine from a junkyard in Newnan, and now that engine is bad. Insufficient oil pressure, it wont pump enough oil to keep tension on the timing chain, so its either gummed up or the bearings are shot. I'm guessing it's clogged because there are no sounds of rod knocking when running, just a loose tensioner.

Nice, straight body/chassis on this car. Never wrecked(as far as I can tell), drives very nicely(or did, before the engine went kaput). Nice, clean interior, although it's missing the rear seat. (The cover was shot, I threw it away to make room for cargo).

I could go on and on, but why bother. I'd like to get 400 bucks out of it. I really like the community here, and I'm hoping there's someone here who also likes S series and may have an engine sitting around to fix this car. The wagons are much rarer than the coupes and sedans and I can't bring myself to scrap this car. I really like it and it deserves to be put back on the road,

I'm just burned out of working on daily drivers, honestly.

Car is Located in Smith's Station, AL. Which is about 10 miles outside of Columbus, GA, or an hour and a half southwest of Atlanta.

Text or Email will get a faster response, I cant answer phone calls at work.
