Hate to get rid of it, but I don't have the time, money, or skill to do this one justice:
1928 Chevy Sedan. I bought it a few years back, and tore it down to build a hot rod. Had the frame media blasted, and then I inset boxed it from the front crossmemeber to the rear crossmember. And then it sat and has taken up space I could be using to work on my $2010 car, and lots of little things I'd like to be doing. Engine is pretty much rusted solid, which didn't matter to me since I was going to put a V8 in it. Transmission and rest of driveline is probably saveable. The frame has some pretty heavy pitting, which showed up really well after the blasting, but its still solid. The body is actually metal skin on a wood frame, like many cars of the area. Most of the lower wood forward of the rear doors is rotted away, and some of the wood to the back is rotted, also. No upholstery or seat springs, they were thrown out due to mold and rust. Window glass is either broken or gone. The metal in the body is pretty solid, with a few dents, and some rust holes low down where water collected. Although there aren't any pictures on the flickr page I still have the fenders, running boards, hood, and grill. The fenders and running boards are pretty rusty. The hood is covered in surface rust, but looks pretty solid. The grill shell, which I think is aluminum, is solid, too. I have a set of 1930 Chevy leaf springs along with the originals. I was planning on cleaning them up and mixing and matching the leafs to set up the ride height and spring rate. Also includes a new Speedway Motors SBC crossmember. Sorry there's so much clutter in and around the car and parts in the photos, thats just how crowded its gotten in my garage.
I have a clear Ohio title for the car, and the it still has its ID tag on the passenger side front seat frame. Overall, there's still a lot there, and it could be made into a pretty neat car. Asking $2010, its located just east of Cincinnati, OH. I might be interested in taking a small dislacement motorcycle, Honda Helix, or air-cooled VW, in safe, good-running condition as a partial trade. I can't deliver as I no longer have a pickup truck and trailer.
I figured I'd give the GRMers a crack at this before posting it to the HAMB in a week or so.
