Thought I'd throw this out there any case anyone needs something to balance out their tiny Miata...or a giant trunk to store it in (or you could put the prerequisite dead hookers in it too ).

It's a 1965 Olds Delta 88 Holiday sedan. It was with it's original owner all the way until 2008. The guy was in his mid-80's when he sold it. He sold it to a guy who was a collector of mid-60's GM cars. I bought it over the summer. The car has about 130,000 miles on it. 425ci, 2bbl carb, single exhaust. Rated at 310hp and 390lb/ft tq. Pulls like a freight train. 3 spd auto trans. The car runs and drives quite well for a nearly half century old car. Brake pedal is really firm. Engine doesn't smoke, knock, drip all over the garage, etc... Steering is what you'd expect for an old land yacht. Works fine, but the term "vague" comes to mind. It really is a great cruiser. That said, it's not a show car. The best way I can describe it is that it was an old mans' daily driver that is now retired. So it's what you'd expect for a 46 year old former daily driver. Interior is decent, not great. Body is pretty darn solid, as is the frame. I've got a bunch of spare parts, such as extra body trim, exhaust, etc...

I bought it with the plans of using it to take my wife and 3 young kids to cruise nights or out for ice cream. I even had a shop install 3 point belts in the front and back (there are 5 of them). Those plans never materialized. For one reason or other, we never got to use it much. I think we took it out 2 or 3 times. It spends its' time sitting in the garage. So while my kids want me to keep it, I'd rather have my garage stall back, so I can put that Tracker you see in the background in the garage...or maybe another toy.

Price is $1850, car is located near Allentown, PA. Here's a link with all the pictures I have of it.

If I had the cash, I'd be booking a trip now. Such a lovely old yacht.

I'm attempting to talk my wife into this right now. "Honey, I NEED this for my 3 mile commute!"

Serious questions: How's the A/C and heat? How's the rust underneath? What's the condition of the interior and material is covering the seats?

A/C is great with the windows down... Car wasn't equipped with factory A/C. I believe I have some of the mounting hardware, but don't have the compressor, etc... Heater works fine. Rust underneath isn't bad. Shows some surface rust, but the car is pretty solid. The interior is best described as usable. I don't want to make it sound like it's a total disaster, because it's not. But it's also not perfect. Dash has a crack or two, but considering how old it is, it's in good shape. I'm not sure, but I think the seats were recovered at some point? The front bench is ripping at the passenger side, but it's still usable. Back seat is solid. Passenger door trim panel has seen better days, but is still there. Gauges all seem to work. Has it's original AM only radio, which works, but antenna is broken off (I have it). Has just one speaker, mounted in the front dash.

Here are some pics from my album, let me know if you need anything else.

For the price that's in phenomenally good shape.

My dad had a 1968 Olds "98" and it had the key in the dash in the same spot.

Fast forward to 1979 and my buddies and I are cruising and they would turn the key to off. Or since the tumbler was worn they would take out my keys to mess with me.

Great car!

I love how big the gas gauge is. I bet when you rev it is looks like a tach in reverse.

Looks like a great car for the money.

Oy! I've done my time in sweatboxes down here! It would be a bummer, but as my son pointed out "I can roll the window down." Smart kid.

Sweet ride. I'd rock it just the way it is, wheels and all.
