NMNA.
I didn't even know these things existed.
2013 Chevy Caprice Police Car - over on CoPart
Apparently these are based on the old G8/GTO platform. Rear wheel Drive.
And judging by the shape of that intake manifold, that's an LS engine.

Yep, it's an LS. The Caprice PPV (Police Pursuit Vehicle) is the cop version of the Chevy SS. It doesn't have as much power, though. It's around 360-ish, iirc.
There is a clean version of one of those drivetrains in my local junkyard. engine, trans, wiring, management, 42,000 miles.
They want $4500 for the package.

Do you own, oh I don't know, any car ever? Because one of those would be a good candidate.

As you can see, this one's pretty low mileage at 48,988.
I suspect since this package isn't very well known, that it's going to go for below challenge budget $$.
Zero bids with 5 days left in auction.

It would certainly make the old GMT400 'burb more interesting....

The engine bay on the Triumph TR7 will swallow this engine pretty nicely too. They are easy to find rust free and cheap. TR8Todd is in the middle of stuffing one in his now.

Clearly I need to acquire more cars.
I have been highly dissapointed with all the LS swapped train wrecks being sold for high teens low twenties currently. I've come to the conclusion that I'll end up having to do it myself to have something reliable enough to live with as a daily....
Hunting blown up late model RX8's for the swap as well as T56 trannies currently...

Yes. An LSx WILL fit in a TR7 Engine bay:

Here are some more in the pipeline. The one in SD has prebids of around $1500 all ready. I will keep tabs on the one in Taunton seeing how its only 40 minutes away from me. I got my 11,000 mile LS3 Camaro from an iaai auction. After selling off pieces I'll be into a complete LS3/TR6060 driveline for 5 to 6K... maybe less. https://www.iaai.com/Vehicles/VehicleAdvSearch.aspx?StockNum=17002049#17002049
I want to bid $500 on this. If I win, great, if not, ok too. I just tried to do it on the copart website, but I think it is telling me I need to be a dealer. I would plan to have this shipped back to my house, and I am trying to understand the fees involved right now to see if I may be able to push my bid slightly higher.
Can anyone help place a bid for me? I will offer payment for your services in money/booze/car parts/etc.
