Eh, I can see both sides. If he wants to sell the car for a million dollars, it's his car.
Then again, I understand the community mind set we seem to have here (for the most part) and would pass the great deals on to the next member. Maybe it's a Karma thing -and no, I'm not a Buddist, but did spend a few nights at a Holiday Inn X-press a month ago...
here you go!
And, my .02...pay it forward is a pretty decent way to live life. "Berk you, me me me me me" is a pretty crappy way to live it. But, to each his own.
think of it this way though, Richard Head doesnt get much sympathy or help from GRMers when his 1970 anything breaks down on the outskirts of rural bumberkely Mississippi. But Happy McNiceguy will receive 4 borrowed mules, 6 quarts of winsauce, an airdropped care package from Flyin Miata, and a beerfridge in a drag tree when he cuts his toe, just because we take care of our own.
Ask Bryce about the time he had to get the Fiero to the challenge, or John Brown about the time his house got flooded, or (cant remember his name) about the University team whose borrowed Miata hardtop blew off the trailer, or Foxtrapper aout crashing his motorcycle...this board oozes help. But They wont ooze it onto jerks...
Good luck with life
it's his car.
Well, technically I'm pretty sure it's not "his car" until he pays for it...which, as of 10:00 AM on 8/16, he hasn't.

It makes you wonder if Pat ever owned the vanagon he was advertising in 2010, or the sailboat from 2004........or if he was doing the same thing back then.
Tommy asked me to throw a wet blanket on the fire. He's a big boy and knew what he was getting into.
