Speaking of powered by Subaru...I'd be all over it if the rust isn't out of control.
Love the car, love the color. Hate the transmission, but I could learn to deal with it.
I smell scam.
"I'm moving out the country very soon and must sacrify my toys"
Anytime i see anything like that, I run away. Of course I could be wrong and someone would get a smokin' deal...
Well if you are close by and can get a title for it after exchanging some cash, what's the big risk?
Can you put a big bore kit on that 1700 engine?

I'm not going to throw the guy's name and address out here, but using some reverse look-up phone system, he shows up with a real last name and address. His first name really is Cruz.
Buy it + can of wax + 12 pack = $2010.
Well I've just emailed him since it seems that no one else is moving on this one ;)
I've got a bonus from work that needs spending.

Connecticut plate on the car in the background helps the seller's case.

Be sure to look over the underside very carefully. I've seen a few 914's with perfect paint that were ready to break in half with frame rust.

Everyone here probably already knows it, but it's worth repeating:
Hell hole. Underneath and forward of the battery tray where the all the sheet metal joins into a corner. Rust repair here is a bastard. An easy way to tell if its screwed without looking too hard is if the passenger side door wont close.
Longs. That's "longitudinal's" aka the box like structure that runs the length of the cockpit on either side of the car. They rust out and its a bastard to fix. There are several layers of sheet metal that makes up the long, and it requires a lot of timming to really see all the damage.
Jacking post. Might look good on the outside and be toast on the inside.
Rear Suspension consoles. A bastard to fix.
I'm just trying to share the education I received, I hope somebody here snagged it.
