300 Mercedes NMNA, Im posting this for everyone to get a chance at. But also curious on everyones opinion, since Im looking for a cheap(really cheap) winter car. I havent driven one of these in a long time. Is 200k just warming up? How reliable and how hard to get/expensive are parts? Im guessing snow tires would be a must. Also, do all these models take off in second gear, if Im remembering correctly?

thanks Nick

No personal experience. Looks to be in very good condition, especially for the price. Seller says he's 77, that usually means maintenance in done.

Few threads directly to the question of problems with buying an 89 300e

Be a great winter car, I had one (a TE) for winter two years ago and it was amazing.

Edit: and yes they start out in second.

Seems like a good price for a really clean old man's Mercedes. Not terribly old so I'd be willing to bet you could get most parts from rockauto.

Also, it is very refreshing to see a craigslist post with good photos.
