95 Civic EX autotragic. D16Z6 VTEC. 183K Shot a rod through the block. Transmission is good. AC blows cold. Condenser was not damaged by rod. Tires along with inner and outer tie rod ends replaced within past year. Saw highway miles 95% of the time. Got good gas mileage. Driver's side axle boot needs replacing after the oil got on the exhaust and dried it out real quick. Could use shocks. ABS and SRS lights were on before I purchased it. PO replaced the ignition switch. Valve cover rattle can paint scheme courtesy of my 10 yr old daughter.
Was cruising home from Walmart doing 70 with cruise on. Rattle, rattle, rattle...BOOM. Flames shoot out from underneath. Pulled over immediately and killed it. Oil level was fine that morning and was on my way home with oil for a change the next day. I'll throw in the oil(5 quart jug of Royal Purple), a Honda oil filter, drain plug washer(s), PCV valve and oil pan gasket. I have no need for them now Oil was changed every 4500-5000 miles.
This would be a good start for a GRM or Honda Challenge car. Or just a daily or to flip, etc. I loved this car but instead of fixing it, I'm going to look for something else.
Car is as it was purchased from the PO, including the header-back straight pipe to a stock looking muffler(not stock..had a tone...thinking parts store $30 muffler...idk), body damage(bumper was in the back seat/trunk...guessing his beer cap/wingnut combo didn't hold on the ends, other dents and hail damage were there already)and last but not least...the stoner shag carpet. I will gladly remove that for free if you want. I believe he was either the 2nd or 3rd owner as the car was a graduation present.
You could easily make back most of the money in parts if you were just going to Challenge or even Lemons it.
$500 FIRM and it's only listed here for now. Car is located in Jacksboro, TX 76458.
Link to pictures. Car is jacked up because I was removing the header to get a better picture of the hole in the block.
