NMNA but I know there are others here that love these things like I do. If I had time and money for another car I'd be on my way to get this already.

Clean title Car is very quick and runs and shifts well $900 firm or trade open to any trade offer. 517-673-2334

And I just got some money saved up too... ARG

So how much d'ya guys think it would be to throw windows and a catalyst on the thing?

edit: wait... a two door '95? I thought all Neon were four door for the first few years of production.

Nope, I had a 95 ACR coupe in the other oddball color Magenta (Barney the Dinosaur purple)

If you can find a donor for all the missing parts it shouldnt be too hard to put back together. I have to imagine there's more than a few first gen neons in scrapyards by now

The first "year" was all 4-door production. 2-doors were late 95. The first Neons were technically more of a "94.5." NYG was a 95 color only.

This car is technically in lower Michigan, not quite Toledo.

FWIW, Magenta was 96 and 97 only. With another $1000 into it, this could be a very fun and streetable car. That is, depending on your definition of streetable.

Oh I absolutely need a booger green coupe to go with my amethyst purple sedan... I don't really want to do that much work to make it nice again, though. I love this color.

I wonder what that thing was built for. I'll go check it out if someone is genuinely interested.

Nope, Magenta, like NYG, was a 95 only color. I'm positive my magenta ACR was a 95

It's hard to find second gen Neons in junkyards, first gen are gone gone gone. The only time I see them are when I go rallycrossing and see wae's and eastsidemav's cars. And I think they both have four door cars

I saw about 4 of them yesterday in my local junkyard.

In reply to JThw8:

Magenta was available in '96, definitely. I really really don't think it was available in '95... I think it replaced NYG in the color lineup. I have never heard of a '95 Magenta in any trim level. Stranger things have happened, though.

Quite positive of what car I owned so it must have been 95-96 not 96-97 although I was always told NYG and Magenta were both 95 only.

That was my thought. Cheap track day? Looks too clean for rallycross.

Strange. I understand each one of those words, but when you string them together like that, it makes no sense at all.

Magenta was definitely 96-97. IF you had a 95, it might've been a "test color" car.

ACR Colors were as follows:

(Early) 95 - Bright White 4-Door Sedans ONLY (Arvin Non-Adjustable Struts)
95 - NYG, Bright White, Flame Red, Lapis Blue, Black. (Arvins)
96 - Magenta, Bright White, Flame Red, Lapis Blue, Black. (Arvins)
97 - Magenta, Bright White, Flame Red, Lapis Blue, Black. (First year with Konis)
98 - Platinum, Bright White, Flame Red, Intense Blue, Black. (Konis)
99 - Platinum, Bright White, Flame Red, Intense Blue, Black. (Konis)

01 & 2002 - Stone White, Black, Flame Red, Silver. (Multimatic DA Struts)

05 SRT-4 ACR: Stone White, Flame Red, Black, Orange Blast.

The seller has been on neons.org for quite a few years. I don't know the reasoning behind him purchasing this car, other than that it was for sale in one of the northern Detroit suburbs for a few months. This would be the perfect start to something fun, though. I REALLY wish I had the room and the other Neon up and running. FWIW, this is the second NYG the seller has saved from the crusher. He's ok in my book!
