Do you realize, you'd be the first owner of a 195* Chevy something? I though it was amazing when a HUGE room full of Omnis and Commanches were found in an assembly plant in Detroit. Our dealer sold all the Commanches and a Dodge dealer down the road sold the Omnis. Those cars were only about 10-12 years old.
They could make a ton of money from bleedin' heart collectors by auctioning them off in front of a crusher like a hostage situation. Put one of those Bel Airs in there and start the bidding as "Who wants to save a 3 mile 0 owner car..."
Best reality TV show ever.

add in some obscene reserves to milk it even more - maybe squish one or two...
In reply to spitfirebill:
Christies, RM, Mecum, etc.....all better than BJ. They need to shake the dust off that Anniversary Vette and load it up in a trailer today and take it to Bloomington Gold to be certified as Gold Class over the 4 categories......thus attaining "Benchmark" status.

Edit: NVM, registration for Bloomington Gold ended June 1. It still needs to remain unrestored and get taken to Bloomington Gold. It'd prolly end up one of under 200 to earn that.
WOW! I'm going to try and make it to the auction. Even if I don't buy anything I'd love to get a better look at the cars.
My buddy's bro bought a Scout like that. Had little less than 200 miles because someone stole it off the shut down dealership and then it was returned to the owners of the defunct dealership.

you guys are sick...
the local car community has been drooling over this collection for EVER. most of the really good rare stuff has already been picked off before the sale became official. Of course I'm still going anyway...
If you guys havent read the write up, click on that link, it contians the a piece from the daughter. Good-honest hard working guy comes home from the war and makes good by dealing straight with people. A lot of the trad in were results of his efforts to get families in reliable new cars rather than try to push a used car on them at a higher profit.
