My friend is selling an AR-15 that is set up for long range competition shooting.
I've never shot it; I've never even seen it in real life. I trust that he did a good job though, because target shooting is his hobby, and I know that he took several months to choose the components and assemble it.

(He uses quality parts. When we were shooting a 10/22 he put together, several people at the range stopped to comment about how nice it was.)

He's in Chattanooga, TN.

As badly as I want an "AT&T" AR15, this one has been taken to far down that road for me. It's going to make someone very happy though...

Does he want to trade for a car?

I think he means, "reach out and touch someone".

Ask him. He just bought a new daily driver, but I've been trying to get him to buy something to beat on for autocross....

Im in the market as well, but Im afraid I already have a toy that molests people far far away. Need a close range tactical AR. AK may be the option for cheap.

bump. I have trouble believing that nobody here is in the market for a long range toy....don't we have any competitive shooters?

Correct. As in "reach out and touch someone."

It's a dated reference. Most young folk don't get it anymore, which makes me feel OLD.

Man that's makes me feel old at 32 when "young" people don't get the at&t reference. My only question is how hard would it be to make that grip fit my FAL?

The 1 to 7 barrel confuses me a little. Usually for long distance guns like that the twist rate is a higher so you can use heavier rounds. Either way it's a very purty rifle, and if I had the cash I'd grab it.
