I think I posted this same package sometime in the past year but this just popped up again on my google reader CL subsriptions.
The ad says: I've been playing with Festivas for a few years. I thought it would be cool to build a FASTiva. But lack of funds and waning interest has motivated me to sell it all. What you get: 1993 Ford Festiva. Runs and drives with the stock engine and trans. This car has a substantial brake upgrade (Aspire swap for the Festiva aficionados). Everything was brand new when I did it - new pads, new front rotors, new rear drums, new shoes, all new suspension bushings in front, new control arms/ball joints. Rebuilt front calipers. And since I've owned this car, I've only driven it maybe 100 miles, so the brake and suspension parts have even fewer miles than that. I did the brake swap right - even swapped the Master Cylinder which many people don't do. Even the handbrake works! The car has a little rust, but less that most Festivas. And it has evidence of a collision repair in the front and has been repainted the original green color at some point. This car also has all the options added, except for AC. It has dual side mirrors (not power), rear hatch with wiper and defrost. GL interior with door pockets, and a gauge cluster with tachometer out of another 1993 Festiva (white lettering). I also tuned it up last weekend (new plugs, wires, cap rotor, filters and oil change). This car also has brand new 15" Rota wheels with brand new 195/50-15 Kumho Ecsta tires that have maybe 50 miles on them. Also included with sale is a 1991 Festiva shell with clear title. This one was in a minor flood. It has NO rust. Not a single spot I could find. It's got a few dings like all Festivas and the clear coat is peeling in a couple of spots, but it is a great shell to make a project out of because it's SO straight and SO rust free. It also has a gauge cluster with a tachometer out of an '89 Festiva (orange lettering). I stripped out the interior because it stunk from getting wet, but the water only got up to the bottom of the doors, so the headliner is still there and in good shape. This one would make a really nice FASTiva project. This one is a rolling shell. It has stock Festiva suspension and wheels/tires on it, so it will roll around. And the stock engine and trans are there (118k miles, ran when pulled), but they aren't in the car. Speaking of FASTivas, I also have all the parts to put together a Mazda BP engine. There is some pitting in one cylinder wall. Needs to honed or bored and rebuilt, but all the parts are there and some of them are even powdercoated (Valve cover, oil pan, and some brackets). This engine is a 1.8l DOHC that puts out roughly double the HP of the stock Festiva engine. Nice start at a FASTiva. BP doesn't get you all excited? There is also a B6T turbo engine. It's complete and still in the donor car. The car ran when I bought it, but when I was getting ready to pull the engine the timing belt snapped. The B6T is non-interference, so the valves aren't bent, but it didn't run that great before so it should at least be torn down and cleaned up. Probably needs rings - it smoked quite a bit. The car with the B6T has a five speed transmission (G25MR) with the correct CV and intermediate shafts to install the engine into a Festiva. Not sure the condition of the trans or shafts, but they are there. I also have a Mitsubishi Starion front mount intercooler to go with the turbo engine, but the turbo engine donor car also has a smaller side mount intercooler still intact (car is not wrecked). There are enough parts here to make two FASTiva projects - if you don't mind one of them not having much in the way of an interior (no carpet, door panels, etc.) Or sell off one of the engines to rebuild the other. Also the 1991 came with AC, so the parts are still around to put an AC system together - I planned to do that on the 1993 car, but I ran out of motivation. Also included with the cars are a set of 14" Mazda 323GTX wheels (fit the stock Festiva) with some gnarly off-road tires (that will NOT fit the Festiva - too big), a set of Mercury Tracer LTS alloy wheels (one is painted red) which fit the Aspire brakes - the tires on the Mercury wheels are junk and the painted one doesn't have a tire. I was going to put some drag radials on the Mercury wheels for racing it once the engine swap was done. $1000 takes it all. I was going to just sell the nice running driving Festiva for $1000, but I'm tired of the other stuff taking up garage space. I'm ready to move on from Festivas. They're fun and unique and all that, just really not my thing. I'm a Datsun guy at heart. This is a smoking deal for anyone that wants a FASTiva project. I've seen the G25MR trans and CV shafts sell for $500 alone and B6T's sell for that much too. You get all that AND two decent cars. You will need a trailer to take the B6T donor car, trans, and rolling shell, plus all the parts I've collected - some I'm sure I forgot to mention - will take a pickup truck load or more to move. As a result it might be hard to get everything in one trip if you are traveling long distance to pick it up. Not really interested in separating parts. The running Festiva should be worth close to what I am asking and I don't want to bother with selling the rest separately. If there is something you don't want there, take it to junkyard. Thanks for looking. If you want pics of anything, send me an email. I will consider a trade/partial trade for a motor scooter - I prefer something Japanese or Italian, not really interested in a Chinese import - I'd rather have a junky Piaggio 50cc project than a brand new 300cc Chinese bike - but let me know hat you got.
