Anyone know of any 'cheap' or reasonable priced old school Mini's available?

That depends on what you mean by "cheap or reasonable". From my experience you don't want a $2500 mini unless you have lots of patience, money and welding/body work skills. I have one for sale (well, it will be when I get the new starter put in), but it's not $2500 either.

"Project car" in the description of a Mini means rusty as all hell.

Actually the car listed is NOT "rusty as all hell". I have found with many years experience with classic cars that its best not to assume anything.

Also, there is really no such thing as a 'rust free' Mini unless youre in the stratosphere of pricing.

Cars from OZ and NZ tend not to be rusty (I have an original paint '73 NZ car) but from the UK, the newer you get, the worse the cars get. I had an '86 MG Metro Turbo, one owner, garage kept, 30k miles on it... as nice as they get... that was busting out with rust all over.

If the car listed is driveable and NOT terminally rusty, it's an awesome deal as driver quality small bore Minis tend to start at $4000+
