1960 Rambler Wagon...$600
Not Mine.
1960 American Motors AMC Rambler Station Wagon. 196 Inline 6 OHV, automatic transmission. Does not run, would need to be towed. Great driver until 2 years ago when piston detonated. Motor is now seized. Needs complete rebuild or replacement. Has torque tube drivetrain, so it would be challenging to throw another make motor in.
Brakes converted to dual master cylinder with new wheel cylinders, brakelines, rear drums. New un-installed front drums included. New shocks, new aluminum radiator. Aftermarket voltage and temperature gauge, oil pressure gauge is idiot light on dash.
Car is dirty and paint in very bad shape, but no dents. There is rust in the floorpan, some holes. There is usual amount of rust in a 50 year old car, spent most of its life in Alabama. All glass is good.
I wanted to make a cool surf-wagon out of this, but have run out of time, money, and space. Clear clean title available. Original repair manual and wheel skirts also included.
god thats 8 shades of awesome!
When I was little, my dad had a mid sixties Rambler wagon that he made into a pickup. There is a part of me that wants to find one and cut the top off.

I'm so glad its not a Rambler American wagon...the temptation is strong with those.
Who was looking for a winter car? Hum & a buff, Hakkapalitas, two cinder blocks out back. Big chrome snow bank pusher.

No, like this. I had a 2 door version as my first solo restoration project after I left home and I always wanted the wagon.

And eventually, something like this. Although this one has a ferrari engine in the rear and I'd probably stick with something like an SBC in the front.

Yes, I like that body style better too. I saw some of the build picts of this car while searching on Google. Slightly crazy project.
