Came with a race car purchase... trying to liquidate the following
3 worked heads, all with O/S valves. One stock core head too
These heads have some porting performed.... here is one intake port from each of the O/S valve heads
This package comes with 8 camshafts..... the 3 installed, and 5 more
Along with the heads come 2 blocks
one fitted with a Titan Drysump pan and it comes with a dry sump pump (Well over $1000 value!!!)
The other is KNOWN to have cap bolt rods - We ASSUME, do not know, the rods are similar in the dry sump block as well
misc - some dry sump parts, some piston rings - unopened, a water pump and other parts and bits... some extra valves both intake and exhaust all O/S 1.75 intake 1.5 exhaust
How much for a head or two, shipped to 49525. What are the specs on the Crane Cams, are they roller?
I'm definitely interested, you want to sell as package or separate?
Package deal only - why pricing is so aggressive, they want it all gone. Parts are in Portland Oregon
Just because, what type of race car did these come with? Are you doing a full re-power and if so, with what?

I'm kinda 3rd party on this... I believe it was some kind of open wheel car... but I don't have any details other than , "can you help us get rid of these?"
These look like what pizzaman would need for his GT3 Pinto.
This was probably in an FC/F2000. This was the type of engine they used from the early 80's until the late 90's. They're still legal and somewhat competitive in SCCA FC.
Ah so not the same as the 70s Ford 2.0 then? I thought that engine ended up in S2000 and FF2000. Head looks vaguely similar to what I remember from 30 years ago.
Also, just noticed that pizzaman has already spied this thread before I did.
As you were...
I'm trying to figure out how I can buy what I need for my project, I could use the block with the dry dump and 1 head and maybe an extra cam ,anyone want to go in on with me ?
All 2.0L OHC engine are the same from 1970-1974. That's the only years if was imported into the USA. It was used in Europe for many more years and was used in FC & Sports 2000 race classes in SCCA. It's still can be used in those classes. These heads, etc all look to me to be 2.0L parts.
There can be some confusion as the 2.3L engine which looks similar but nothing interchanges did come in a 2.0L version for a few years. Used in the Ranger only as far as I know. Easy way to tell is the 2.0L had 3 cam towers and the 2.3L used 4.
David Vizzard wrote a couple of books about building these engines for HiPer and/or racing. I followed his suggestions on head porting and ended up with one very strong 2.0L that ended up first in a 1973 Capri for auto-xing and then later in a Pinto in GT3 road racing.

You are planning on racing so I would plan on needing spares. If you want to do a 2.0L this looks like a a great base for a race set up. You could build one mild engine to run initially and at the same time build up a "hot" motor when you get really serious. Is that many heads overkill? Maybe, but after you have a motor come apart and trash one it would be nice to know you have a spare. Personally I think this is a good package deal. I bet palletized shipping to you wouldn't be crazy $4-500 and you could be on your way quickly to an engine.
ANY used stuff you get you are going to need to fully go through, check specs, etc to make sure there are no hidden issues but that's why used stuff is cheaper.
See if you can get the specific cam profiles and then reference the book mentioned in the other thread to see if they will meet your hp/rpm/torque plans/needs.

Can you give some info on gt3 pintos ,you said raced one,I haven't been able to find any information on that type of cars
I have to correct myself as the car was raced by a friend and he actually raced it in "Production" class and not GT. This was 20 years ago and the car and parts are long gone. But what do you want to know?
I have a tube framed pinto that was raced in gt3 in the ,southeast as late as mid 90s I'm trying to find out any info as to how it was raced since I have no log book and I'm planning on vintage racing ,any information will help regarding gt pintos ,thanks
