NMNA:

I'm surprised that there aren't more of these out there. I'm going to guess that the hatch was kept for either:

a) a ladder rack

b) surf boards

c) as a innovative design element not yet seen or appreciated.

Either way, I do like it as a whole.

*EDIT...I like the sellers condition description...

The hatch is to be used for the tailgate.

Easier than the one I'm planning on my 740, the hatch on it is aluminum.

Too bad Bellingham doesn't have it's own Craigslist.
Oh wait, it does.

Certainly an ... interesting local find.

With the Turbo Coupe driveline you're in for less than $2k initial purchase. I'd rock the hell outta that with a 2.3T.

Agree the rear wagon door is included for tailgate construction but just hasn't been cut down yet. I knew a girl in HS with a 2 door wagon Pinto. Cool looking little car. If I found one for the right price i'd consider building a 3/4 scale replica of Mad Max's red wagon.

needs to have the rear axle pushed back 6". Not worth the effort, but it would look better.
