Time to sell my open car trailer, I am picking up an enclosed trailer this upcoming weekend so this one will be needing a new home. SOLD
Trailer is a 1986 homebuilt with a 15ft dovetailed deck. I have completely rewired it, put new lights on it, new jack up front, new aluminum diamond plate fenders and new bearings in the wheel hubs (jack, fenders and bearings just done at the end of last year). It has Dexter 3500 lb torsion axles with Ez-lube hubs on it, with brakes on one axle, the other axle has the flange to put brakes on it if desired. The Dexter axles were put on a few years back, replacing leaf spring axles, so they are newer than the trailer. Tires still have decent tread, about 2.5 years old. Very solidly built trailer, I used it to tow the El Camino for a few years. It has ladder style ramps (not shown) to go with it and a spare tire as well. Perfect size for medium to small cars. Trailer tows nicely, even when empty.
Specs of the trailer:
Overall length: 19.5ft
Overall width at fenders: 101"
Deck length: 15ft
Deck width: 72" between side frame rails, 76" to outside of rails
Deck height: 25", 18" at dovetail
Tongue length: 4ft 6"
Fenders are 5.5" above the deck, so they clear most doors without removing the fenders
Anti-stance and Fit_is_slo need to jump on this!
That's a nice trailer. A little heavy for most of my needs.
Not sure of the actual weight, probably 1800 lbs or so if I had to guess. I used to pull it with my Dakota R/T with no problems, but it may be more than you would need with a light, small car.
Wow, almost make me wish I needed a trailer.
Picked up my enclosed trailer today, so this one needs to find a new home.
So much want
What a time to have no $$$$
Anyone interested? Will consider offers. Just hoping to sell it before I have to put it on CL.
I need a working tow vehicle first damnit lol
I think the truck is sweet. Let us know when you decide to upgrade that so we have a shot at it.
You will be waiting a while. This one is too simple and easy to work on, and parts are cheap.
I see you got the extra doors option, sometimes I wish mine had that. But with my current truck/trailer at 52ft long, the standard cab is fine.
Trailer still available, will consider offers. I did update that the trailer is a 1986 model instead of 1982, my mistake. Need it moved soon as two trailers are taking up too much space.
Price drop for GRM peeps. Trailer needs a new home.
Price drop again, really need to move this trailer.
Is the current price $1200?
Yes, that is the current price.
