GRM Priced Racing Beat header - 94-97 1.8 Miata

I don't really need to be hanging onto this, at the rate I am going it will be several years before one of the 1.6's gets a 1.8 powerplant.

It's in fine condition except for having once cracked at the 4-1 junction. Seems like many do this sooner or later, at least both of my 1.6's did and then after a repair they last forever. After making the repair, the previous owner tried to reinforce it with some steel that was thinner than the header, resulting in some ugly welds. blow-through only on the added steel, not the header itself. I was just going to cut this mess off but never got around to it. That ugly series of bands is not holding exhaust gasses in, it is just an attempt to add mass to that joint area after the fact. It was run for a while by the PO with no leaks.

$150 for GRM. Located in 19539. Could meet within an hour or so. Shipping seems to range from $40 to $75 depending how far west you are.

I'd be interested. How much to ship to 13440?

Looks like just $30-$35 depending on weight. I will have to confirm my dimensions tonight because it is close to the total length+girth limit where pricing rockets from $30 to a minimum of $67 but I believe it will be OK.

I also can send it with someone for pretty much any given Meadowlands autocross if you are headed to one of them soon.

Okay, very cool. I'm not headed to any Meadowlands autocrosses (I pretty much stay in the CNY region, particularly Cherry Valley Motorsports Park). Let me know how much it'll cost to ship and then we can hash out the final details via e-mail (PM is not set up for me, can't figure it out)

Just scored a (rough) '00 1.8L for my 1990 1.6L car and was bemoaning having to sell my 1.6L RB header and drop $500 on a new 1.8L RB header and $200 on a new converter. Then cmcgregor turned me in the direction of this.

Just a heads up, the stock EGR tube location is different on a 99-00 than a 94-97. Installing in a '90 I don't even know if you will run one, just checking. For the $300 savings I imagine you can make it work if you have to.

I will be doing a delete, as the '90 computer doesn't run EGR. So, not a big deal.
