I'll probably regret selling this rather than shoehorning it into a mini-bike frame, but this race season has been fiscally ruinous and something needs to give. So - reluctantly offered is:
- 2002 Suzuki GSXR 1000 engine w/ oil pan modified for car use/oil cooler line fittings made for AN-6 lines/APE mechanical cam chain tensioner & breather cover/throttle bodies/ECU/speedometer/Barnett heavy duty clutch pack/hydraulic clutch slave cylinder
- A "trimmed for car use" wiring harness that was functional in my Radical, but is admittedly in need of some tidying up.
- Lots of assorted spares
It was installed in 2004, used for a few seasons by a (really) slow driver, parked in a race shop 'til 2010 when I bought the car and used it for about 8 events. It ran strongly, shifts 100%, clutch is good, injectors just blueprinted by RC, no smoke at race pace, good oil pressure.
I checked compression and leakdown before I swapped the Hayabusa engine in and while I didn't note the numbers they were good. When I removed the valve cover to install the mechanical tensioner and check valve lash it was the first time the cover had been off, ever, and lash was in spec.
This would be a fine motor for a regional DSR or FB ca, or in a BM autocross car. If you stumble across this listing looking for a core to send to GDRE, it's a fine one for that.
I can palletize and drop at Yellow Freight.
EDIT - I'm shipping from the Yellow Freight Terminal in Landover MD - go to yrc.com and you can get a quote. Engines ship class 60 I think, on a 3x3 foot pallet about 2' tall.
