keg. list of wants but not something i need in the slightest
Pat,
What condition is the 4l80E in?
You are too far away. Boo.
Damn. A keg and a toolbox are probably prohibitive to ship.
they are definitely prohibitive to ship but where in PA are you? if you are along the route from cleveland to baltimore or cumberland it could work.
the 4L80-e is unknown. i bought at pull a part, the engine was locked solid so i assume the bad engine is the reason the truck got junked and pulled the trans assuming it would be good. but i have it priced under the assumption it is a rebuildable core. the fluid did not smell toasty. i personally would bolt it in and see what happens just based on the truck i pulled it from knowing the engine was bad.
I am 2hrs up i81 from Cumberland. How often are you out this way? I might be attending a Porsche swap meet in Hershey next Saturday (which is right in the ballpark give/take 20 miles.

Consider it sold. We'll have to figure out the details.
the 4l80 is in my dad's garage in medina, i can meet you there or get it to my house so you can check out all my junk. he's 5 minutes from me tops. i'm about 35-40 minutes from you. whatever works for you. i'm just turning around and buying a new auto-x helmet with the money.
things i will use $ for if someone has any of them in trade

I'll take a keg. Feel free to cut the top off for me. I need a home brew boiler.
Is the unknown axle unknown in lineage or just unknown in gear ratio?
unknown year and ratio, only know its from an s10. it was under my 40 chevy truck bolted rather poorly to the original springs when i bought the truck. i know that it rolls and nothing sounds bad when i spin the yoke. hence scrap pricing.
4L80-e sold, most of the rest of the prices dropped
I want that 3-speed... as if my C-10 didn't get bad enough fuel economy.
I'm the wrong direction from PA though.
drop to 50 if you want them andy. i honestly forget what i paid but i know i've seen them on the hamb before for 100-125. i'm not building anything where i feel the need to make a centerbolt small block look old.

Just to fuel the fire for Andy here is an article on exactly what needs to be done to convert the Stude covers for a chevy centerbolt. If you right click >open you can view the photos, they don't seem to display in the thread anymore.

I'm sure you saw the Off Topic thread. As much as I'd like them, I can't.
