The dude doesn't know how to spell Alfa, and I'm pretty sure that it's a Sprint, not a GTV. Still, going by the pics, its the cleanest '70's Alfa that I've ever seen on craigslist.
Yep. True alpha romeos are real hard to find.
I agree it does look great though.
It could only be better if he had spelled it Romero
Weren't Sprints 1750cc and GTV,s 2000cc? This is just like the GTV I had in Italy while in the Army.

Looks like an Alfetta GTV to me, and says so on the C pillar. And the seller obviously made a spelling error as these cars typically can be found under 'Alpha Romero' on craigslist.

I didn't know that there were 4 cyl GTVs. Do these have the rear transaxel and DeDion rear suspension like the GTV6 and Milano/75?

Yes indeed. It was a great car, until you start losing synchros,
What about alpha romeo. That sometimes works. Love it when alfa owners don't have a clue. Inspires confidence in the car

I hate when people do the $1 thing. I usually put a low price of 111 when doing my cl searches. Why 111? Cause I am to lazy to make the extra effort to go for the 0s....
When I see these ads, or those that list a payment price, I always tempted to contact them and tell them I'll take it for the listed price.

I have done that and boy does it come with an ugly message from the seller. Some a quite nasty about it. Whew. I don't bother with those types of ads anymore.

From '75-'79 or so, this was the GT that Alfa sold. No real difference between a "sprint" or GTV in the US, as all the Alfetta's had the same spec engine. There was also the Alfetta Sedan that was a longer version of the same thing, but 4 doors.
Alfa actually had a Spider based off of this chassis, but never made it.
It's the same chassis as the GTV6(116 chassis), and was slightly changed for the Milano(119 chassis).
Most Alfisti thought this car was a let down from the GTV/Berlina car, even though it was technically better- deDion vs. Live axle. The GTV6 fixed all of those worries.
