Preferably an earlier one out of a Volvo. Got a friend with a dead Delorean, and will probably be going to visit this weekend to do some more testing, but I'm guessing the prognosis is going to be rebuild. Figured I'd ask if anyone here has a spare runner they'd let go of cheap in advance, in case my worries come true.
If you were feeling like improving it instead of returning it to stock, you can use the later 3.0L PRV from a Eagle Premier or Dodge Monaco. You can also get them dirt cheap, since those cars had HORRIBLE transmissions. So for $200 for the engine and $200 for Megasquirt, you can have a slightly better performing and WAY more reliable DeLorean.
Sell me dead Delorean for challenge-price instead? Lol

Its his dream car, since he was a little kid (even before Back to the Future), so I seriously doubt he'd sell it, besides if he did, I'm first in line 
I know about the Permier/Monaco/Medallion, too, and that might end up being an option, but he says he did some research, and apperently there were some changes that slightly complicate the swap. He's having someone else with more engine experience look at the car this weekend, too, in the hopes that it isn't as bad as I'm guessing. We'll see in a few days.
