NMNA. a friend used to have one of these (not this one) and it was as reliable as a paper hammer.

They only have a 5k towing capacity IIRC and the "engine issues" would put me off.

If you're lucky it only wants new head gaskets, if you're unlucky the thermostat failed and it has a cooked engine.

I have had to tow a few of them, and they are not too bad, either flat tow with t-case in neutral or....

oh wait-you wanted to tow something else with it?

I towed the mini I bought in the UK from Kent to Bristol with a diesel 5-sp Disco-2. It was a really fun day. Well, except that the wiring was hosed and all I could muster was one high bean for headlights... Ah, English wiring....

The important part here being the "diesel 5-sp", neither of which is available in Leftpondia.

I nearly bought a Disco Diesel in the UK when I was looking for winter wheels to get me from Kent to my mum's place in Switzerland but ended up being too cheap to win the ebay auction.
