I don't think I've ever seen one that made it to 100k miles.

Yeah, why not? I mean, drop in the LSx and T-56, wire up a bevy of Autometer gauges and go! I wonder what the stock rear end would handle. If you got rid of all the drivetrain-related wiring, how unreliable would it be? Are they rust buckets?

you don't need to light it on fire.......it will do it on it's own!
I dont see the attraction of engine swapping one, if you want something with an LS1, there are many cars with cheaper parts that an LS1 fits in easier. The Biturbo engine compartment is very short so im not sure a v8 would fit rela well anyway.
