Hey guys,I have a set if 15 wheels for a challenge car and the tires are 165 15 and there not alot of room to go bigger.Do you know where to get DOT tires that will fit? Due to the bolt pattern and rarity of the car different wheels are not an option. Thanks.

What kinda tire do the Formula Vee guys use? Just a thought.

can you get spacers or roll the fenders?

Is this for the auto-x or drags? Assuming auto-x, hoosier makes EDIT: A6's in 205/50R15 (unfortunately they don't sell anything skinnier). If you can't find them easily, I would call up one of the Hoosier reps and ask them what application they sell most of those tires for, then get in touch with some of those teams.

Looking at the Hoosier catalog I have, those tires are advertised to work on a rim as narrow as 5.5", so that should be OK for you.

Also, if this is a heavier car or you can get some heat into the tires, you could run the R6 compound, which is heavily used in Spec Miata in this size, IIRC.

+1 for the formula vee option, should be able to find very cheap takeoffs. They run skinny 15's, 5 inch wide fronts, 5.5 inch rears.

Just spitballing... adapters, and high offset wheels, to get into something more common?
