Was there a particular dealer network here in the states that Lancia would have been sold from around 1981?
this is an 037 Stradale. I think some guy was profiled in CCC using one like the blue to re-create an 037 but had to sneak measurements from a museum example.

Dang, not only seen em, owned em. Had an 81 in that same color. Great car, a little quirky like any italian but loads of fun to drive.
A friend had a Beta which was the coupe version. Little power and less torque but it handled well and was fun to blast around the California Bay Area hills in. We always wished his was a Zagato.

It was the mid-engined Beta Montecarlo (Scorpion in the US) that was the basis for the 037.
I might go check this out, I've wanted another but I'm scared Of it breaking at the suspension pick up in the rear like my other one did. Not many decent ones around here.

If you want a wing man hit me up. I've never seen one in person.
At least you wouldn't be in Detroit by yourself
Back in the day these drew little attention. They aren't the best performers and not too reliable. I'd take a fiat 124 over these all day long
That car is like thinking about French kissing your sister. Different? Sure. Funky? Sure. Edgy? What the berkeley are you thinking you idiot don't do it.
Eh, no different than anything else. Cars of a certain vintage all have issues. Knowing what they are and being willing to cut it up if you fail are the big things lol.
More like dating a millionaire's daughter. She's cute but she'll cost a fortune and you may find out she isn't great in bed

At my age I should know better , but I still want a Scorpion. I once saw one peaking out of storage shed at the Goodwill in Greenville, SC. I never saw it go up for auction. I bet nothing could have gone wrong there.
