Just because it has a title and most of the parts, it's probably a really good deal. My only concern would be the rear spring seats. If those rot out, it'll be a lot of fun. And the windshield could be a problem to get. I already sold my spare, dang it.

I'd agree it's a good deal. Good time for some Brookland windscreens.

I thought it was an excellent deal and would be towing a trailer to Houston right now to get it if I had the funds. Just from the limited pictures, even if the body underneath is gone, it's worth the price in parts. Steel hoods are starting to go up in value. I'd guess you could come close to breaking even on it, alone.

By the time you finish, you are going to be two years older (at least) and $15,000 in the hole. You will be underwater financially from the get-go.

$15,000 will get you a nice sorted Bugeye Sprite driver all day long that you can then sell two years later and get all your money back. THAT is the way to play this game unless you get your kicks restoring the things.

As a parts car in the North, it might be worth something, but you have to get it there and the big ticket bonnet has to convince me that it is not as cruddy as it looks.

If the spring perches are gone, the shell is not worth anything.

Sent the listing to a friend that races a Bugeye. He said "it was on CL last year and I went to see it in Needville offered the guy $500 as it was very very rusty"

Yeah, I think the spring perches won't be too healthy. I'm amazed the doors line up as there isn't much holding the front and rear together.

Although, on a side note, that dash still has the radio slot intact. That alone is probably worth $100 or more.
