I need someone to buy this car and restore it... This was my old car that I had tons of plans for but had to sell it... I want to dearly buy it back but I do not have a garage or the money... It really deserves to be fully restored and to be driven...
Man that looks like a great challenge candidate. If it were closer I'd be interested.
I eye balled this a few weeks ago. I always like them, but know 0 about them. So I passed on the deal.
Well Isuzu imported about 800 of them into North America including Canada... This one has the Touring package which makes it even more rare... Initially had a 160hp 1.6l turbo motor, but unfortunately it has been swapped with a 1.8l and then turboed... They are All Wheel Drive...
Looks fairly rust-free.
What are parts like for these?

I'm pretty sure these share the same platform as the Geo Storm. So some parts should interchange.
I agree that this is a cool car and I even kind of wanted one when they were new, but how big of a gap is there between the $1000 that he is asking for your old car and the best one on the planet? I know these are fairly rare, but I don't think that it's a very big number.
I agree that he is probably asking too much for the condition... I know clean versions go for about $5,000... I do not know if he is firm at price or not... They do share quite a bit of parts with the geo storm, but the suspension was factory tuned from Lotus... To me these cars are so much more uniqueness than say the Mazda 323 GTX, but the GTX goes for much more money...
