That's right, I have a saved CL search for a list of terrible malaise-era-ish cars, and the Granada is on it. This week, two. I want a four-door, but the two-door's interior is in remarkable shape. In any case, it's not Granada time for me yet, so here they are:

My second car was a 77 Granada. There at no words to describe the awfulness of that car.

For anybody too young or otherwise unfamiliar with the reference, a bit of epic optimism from Ford's marketing department, and if it's plagiarism of design, some very, very sloppy plagiarism:
Look! They both have seats! They both have taillights! Just like the Mercedes, the Granada comes fully equipped with a rear three-quarter view AND a side view!

One of the poorest driving cars ever.
I'd figured the monster trucks had gotten them all by now...
I had a two door, the same as the one in the original post, just without the landau vinyl top. It had a 250 cu. in. straight six, 3 speed on the floor, no power steering. A decent looking car, but an absolute pig to drive until you got above 30 mph. Once I beefed up the springs and added a set of Cragar SS mags with "low profile" G70-14 Firestones it was a better pig.

You know, the biggest (note I didn't say only) problem those had as far as driveability was lots and lots of negative caster from the factory. Crank the caster as far as you can (usually .5-1 deg +) and they drove remarkably better, but still not great.
