Number 2 but I'm biased.

I know of other XR's for less money and more suited to being made into a rallycross car.

Always check the rocker panels for rust. Where it meets up underneath the car. I went through a few of them before I found my current rust free one as a shell.

For some reason I assumed you'd be in Austrailia, the U.K. or Nova Scotia for some reason.

Nice fab work, did you make the battery box, caster/camber plates, throttle body adapter, valve cover and coolant expansion tank?

Yup, in Aurora but no, I bought those items and installed them. I WISH I had that level of fab skills!

Actually the battery box is stock FWIW.

Number 2 looks like daily driver material to me. Always liked Merkurs as part of my 80s dream fleet.
