Well . . . in 1989, the Taurus still had the V6. And I'm pretty sure the V8 Taurus was only available with an automatic.
...and not in 1989 and it sure wasn't a 5.0 anything.
Might be a '99 with the V8 and the notorious slipping cam wheel...would also explain the cheap price.
