Yep, glad that's not anywhere near here. I've always wanted one, yet I'm pretty sure it would never live up to my(albeit, low) expectations.
You're right Woody. Better than I expected too. Of course, with the head off the engine I'm sure it needs a complete rebuild now.
It probably won't petegossett, they aren't nearly as fast as they look. Interesting the way they did some things on them too.
Since I already have one and this is cross country, not difficult to resist. But also, since I already have one I sometimes think of getting another just to modify.
I remember these cars when they were new. A couple of friends were into Opels at the time. Then came the 80's and they disappeared from the motoring world that I occupied. A bit less then 2 years ago I was approached by a friend to help with a Lemons car build. It turned out to be an Opel GT! Since then I seem to come across these cars in posts like this every few weeks! Neat cars and parts are still available, something I learned from my Lemons experience.
