Very nice, but the Laura-engined Batavus mopeds have little in the way of aftermarket or parts support. Pretty much a 25MPH novelty for whoever buys it.

I'd say that's applicable to pretty much any moped.

Someone has never visited mopedarmy.com or treatland.tv before...with a 70cc kit and the right expansion chamber, you can do 50+ on these things.

Yep. You can spend a lot of money to extensively modify a moped to the point that it's generally not legal or particularly rideable, and will almost go as fast as a small scooter. Wee.
Otherwise, a moped generally tops out at about 25 mph. Again, wee.

For much of the TAT, 25 mph would be flying.
Not a bad bike to do it on though, in many ways. I think I'd rather try a moped than say a KLR.
I keep saying this.. Have 2 mopeds, interested in selling...
25mph is not an uphill speed, on a steep hill it becomes 17mph or so.
