Looks like a good deal for an interesting car.

I'm not exactly sure that "a 260 V 8 which can be bolted directly in".

What a neat little poorly proportioned ride ! Too much $$, but still neat for the right price.

Betcha the Chrysler mechanics went nuts trying to repair those little Hillman engines.

Not much different from the Buick mechanics and the Opels and the Chevy dealerships with the LUV pick-up trucks, huh?

Cool car, I like it. Looks almost like a mini Jensen Interceptor.

I think he is getting this Alpine confused with the earlier Sunbeam Alpine sportscar, which was the basis for the Tiger with a 260 (or 289)CI Ford V8. Even for those earlier cars I think there is more to it then just bolting a V-8 into the Alpine chassis.

I used to have one of these 30 years ago. It used a series 5 Alpine drive train. It was a fun car. Not fast but quick off the line. A true umidody, everything was welded together.

I wish I still had it. A pain to find parts for.
