1985 TVR 280i Series 1 Convertible for sale. No engine/transmission, but body and chassis are complete. Fiberglass body with tubular steel frame. Independent rear suspension from a Jaguar (factory for TVR) and Ford of Europe front suspension. Factory lace style wheels. Convertible has hard center section with softtop rear. Can be used as a targa roof, or full convertible. Interior needs complete redo, but panels are fiberglass covered in vinyl/leather, so they should be easy to redo. Great for someone who wants to build a car the way they like. My plans were to fit it with a rotary motor but too many projects. $1000 obo.

1989 RX7 Convertible - $1000

just had it inspected at Maztech by Jeff. 5 speed, 125xxx miles, 13b n/a, new ecu, new starter, new coolant thermo sensor, new hoses, new battery 800cca, new paint, new vert top, new NGK's, new coil, decent tread on the tires, clean title, pesky air pump removed from previous owner. i know im forgetting stuff, but onto the cons. cosmetic damage driver side fender (someone backed into me). trunk hinges are bent, but trunk opes and closes (for the most part). has a couple codes: o2 sensor (but i have a new one ill give to you), tps needs adjusting ("throttle valve opening angle signal fixed at 20%"), and oil pump went bad, so i just run 2 stroke premix in the mean time. car ran/drove... but an ignition problem arose again, grounding something out so the starter wont turn off. meaning no, you cant happily drive her away. meaning yes, you must find a way to tow it.

2800 Firm is apparently softer than he anticipated on the RX7

I'll bet that TVR would inspire someone to invent some new curse words

The '78 Mazda B1800 is in better shape than any I have seen up here at any price. Buy it, ship it up here, and I will sell it for $3000 and split the profit with you. "up here" being Columbus, Ohio.

If fiberglass could rust, I bet that one would have. On the other hand, all the unobtanium bits are flat out gone, so you might as well gut it and drop in a Camaro drivetrain and have fun.

In reply to dculberson:

If you really think you can get $3k for it I'm game. A couple tanks of gas and a one way ticket would be cheaper than shipping it as I seem to have some spare time these days. Even better, if someone has something coming back this way I'll hook the trailer up to the F350 and deliver it then haul something back too.

Interesting that he had it advertised a month ago for $1500. He must want it gone or there is something else wrong with it he hasn't mentioned.

Late model 4-Door Corvairs are pretty cool and rare. That would be worth it for a cruiser.

There's a slightly nicer TVR like that about a mile from where I work. I never really liked them, but I'm always tempted anyway.
