WTB 55 Chevy station wagon tailgate

Guys I just purchased a 2 door 55 Chevy wagon and need a tailgate as the current one is pretty rusty. Repro ones are $700, so I will go that route if I can't find a good used one, but thought I'd give it a shot here first. My understanding is 55, 56, or 57 will work, but nomad tailgates will not.

I don't have one myself, but I tried searching on car-part dot com for a tailgate for a "1955 Chev Other" and got a page of results in the $150 range & a variety of colours, including pink. (We want pics if you get the pink one.) You'll have to weed out the Nomads and the trunk lids, but it's a start.

I'll get some real soon. Right now I have it on the lift fixing some leaks and giving it some needed tlc.

I surprisingly found a nice tailgate locally. The last pic shows the current rusty tailgate.

I really like it. I traded Bozilla's old c4 vette, a 300k mile lifted 94 chevy 4x4, and some cash for it. The wagon needs paint, bodywork, and general tlc from sitting, but has a lot of nice parts on it.

It has a 406 chevy with Holley avenger stealthram multiport fuel injection, 700r4 trans, power steering, vintage AC, 4 wheel disk brakes, and some other goodies. Someone threw a lot of money at it, then it got neglected, so I'm bringing it back. I already fixed a lot of leaks and now need to either replace or rebuild the power steering box, which is the worst leak left to fix.
