Omix-Ada makes pretty much any replacement parts for those,so the parts department would be covered. Sure am glad that's not any closer to me...
We used to have one just like that, it was a 1960 with a plow and dump bed, same color. It was an old city service truck.
Am I crazy for thinking a motor swap would make that a better vehicle? Like a VW TDi? It's probably also geared to climb walls at idle and top out around 60.
That looks extraordinarily clean for the vehicle and year. Most people would cheat and put the body on an S-10 or C-10 chassis and or course drop a tree fitty in it. .

Correct on both counts. My dad had one, I think he said 55 was pushing the limits. But it would creep around off-road like nothing else.
